The single biggest musical influences in the life of any R&B artist, James Brown was to rhythm and Blues what Greens and cornbread was to us kids on the Westside of Chicago.. People from all walks of life love him.. and the man could Dance.. His foot work was like magic (we all tried to do it!!) Both of his Band the (Fabulous Flames or JB's) playing the Vamp ....legendry!!!

His song ‘Santa clause goes straight to the ghetto’ touched me personally when i was a kid!

What James Brown was to music in terms of R&B, soul and hip-hop and rap is what Bach was to classical music. The Godfather literally changed the music industry back in the day.
